Provides the hierarchy of the item categories with the ability to double click to select (and open the branch in relevant). Double click will populate the bottom of the screen and the other tabs

• Category is the name
• Description can be shown on website / hints etc
• Parent is the parent in the hierarchy
• Import code - if want shortcode or importing from other systems
• Sequence - enables changing sequence in the tree
• Articles is checked if Articles can belong to the hierarchy
• Services is checked if services can belong to the hierarchy
• Visible to the public is checked if this category is visible to the Webstore Module
• Filter Featured on website - webstore featured items list
• Browse by brand - enables a sub filter navigation on the customer website by brand when the category is chosen
• Tags - enable linking of categories to display related categories.  Each Tag is a single letter or number - so each category may link to multiple tags
  • A = Included in Retail Target Reporting of sales
  • % on article category is used to calculate the % of the overall retail targets per category 

 If an image is to be used in the Portal or Webstore you can load it up here - it is recommended the images be approximately 290x290 for best performance.

References Tab

Shows all the items that belong to this category. The bottom of this screen can be used to update all the items in a particular category with a particular GL code so all the sales transactions are then associated with that code.

Shows all Kits that belong to this category - stock articles that are kits

Shows all brand images linked to this category - the link is created when a stock article for a brand links to this category

Competitors Tab

Allows you to track competitors for the category that you wish to use in the Sales Rep Outlet Information screen used in perishable goods

Shows all the categories as a flat list - to easily export to excel if required for importing items etc
