Summary

A bus run has a driver, a vehicle and a number of bookings.

Bookings are grouped together on a bus run into “Legs” - all in the same direction to or from a destination

Some destinations are linked (eg International Airport / Domestic Airport) when grouping

A few days before

  1. Puts together the vehicles and drivers into runs

    1. Use the Driver Roster to mark a driver as not available

    2. Vehicles Scheduled servicing can make a vehicle not available

  2. Delegates Private Vehicle bookings

  3. Assigns bookings to runs (Planning Status)

    1. Right click on a booking to view possible runs

      1. Same pickup and same direction are at the top

      2. Runs with a leg in the same direction are offered

      3. Runs with no leg offer to create a leg

      4. Adjust times on the booking if required

The day before

  1. Review bookings and runs

  2. Move from PLANNING to PLAN status

  3. Send confirmation emails to all travellers

On the day

Bookings will continue to be created and will need to be added to runs by the planner

Drivers will

  1. start their run, mark bookings onboard and offboard

  2. may move bookings to their run

    1. if a passenger gets onto a different bus to the one scheduled

Creating Bus Runs

Select the date > then create bus runs

Delegations to others

When a booking requires a private vehicle - it will be delegated to others - the right click will indicate

Assigning Shuttle Bookings to Runs

Right click on a booking to be shown possible runs

Un-tick “Hide allocated/delegated Bookings” to view bookings already assigned to runs have have the same right click option to move them to other runs

Move from PLANNING to PLAN

Bus Run > Status > Mark Planned (Send Manifest to Driver)

  1. Sends a message to each passenger
