Not all items in a warehouse are managed using min / max levels - many will be managed using Product Forecasting - Based on Sales History which predicts stock requirements.

...

  1. Stock moves infrequently and an emergency supply is required
  2. Stock lead times are not reliable and a safety stock level is preferred
  3. Retail Stores - where stock needs to be on the shelf at all times and hence safety stock is preferred
    1. Retail stores that replenish frequently may have the min = the max (ie anything sold is replenished)

Setting min / Max Levels set by SKU

The stock re-order grid shows SOH and sell rates for any visible warehouses.

...

Select the warehouse - set trigger and to levels - save

Mass updating of Min/Max levels across warehouses (or Retail Stores)

The stock article play area is used to manage min / max levels

Create a Play List

Add items to the play list (or remove)

Repeat until all items you want are added.

Review the play list as you go

Select the warehouses to update

Note

Franchisors will be able to select all Franchisee Warehouses - get a shorter list using the TAGs

Tag all warehouses (single letter tags) - enter the tags for all the warehouses of interest. Example for Franchisor where each warehouse is a retail store:

  • 5 Retail stores are small > use tag "S" on the warehouse definition
  • 5 are medium > use tag "M" on the warehouse definition
  • 5 are large > use tag "L" on the warehouse definition
  • When a new product is being introduced and all Medium and large stores require 10
    • enter tags "ML" - this will then present all the medium and large stores in the grid
    • enter 10 in the "Default Max" column
    • Use button "Set Store Max and/or Min to default"
    • All stores will have the MAX set to 10 (and the default column will clear)
  1. Enter Tags (if required) to reduce the number of warehouses to show
  2. Choose the columns to display
  3. List the Stock Targets

Making Changes

There are a two ways to make changes

  1. Edit directly in the grid - type in a Max Setting
  2. Fill in the "Default" Column > then use the button to copy this value across to all stores

Removing Excess stock from a Store or warehouse

In the Grid there are items where the stock in the warehouse is > the max level set.  A picklist can be emailed for these items to be removed.

Picklist

On the bottom RHS is the button to send a picklist to the store to remove excess stock

...

The picklist is accurate at the time it is created.  The target value is also listed in case sales are made before the pick is actioned so the picker can check the quantity that is remaining after the pick
