Each Location becomes available to view separately on the Manufacturing Dashboard

Manufacturing locations

  • linked to a inventory location - this will be the default location for picking and for completing stock

  • Are defined with work times

  • Have default employees - actual employees are tracked on batch information and QA Tests
  • Have a production rate factor that compares the speed in this room with other rooms

Different types of cleans with associated times and linked QA Test Groups are linked to the room and referenced during production planning.

Internal Manufacturing has an overhead cost rate

...

  • Has an overhead cost recovery rate that is used in finished product cost
  • Has a special type
    • allows similar rooms to be used to produce the same things with different production rate factors

      • a production rate factor of 5 is half the speed of production of one rated 10 

    • used to determine the products that can be manufactured (e.g. labeller)
    Has multiple cleans defined - example "Simple clean", "light to dark colour", "Full clean" etc
    • Each clean has an estimated time for planning purposes to estimate the time required in the Manufacturing Dashboard
    • Each clean is linked to a QA Test Groups of tests that will be tracked during the clean

Extenal Manufacturing locations

  • Use purchase orders plus BOM ingredients for product costing.  
  • Use Supplier lead times and expected durations at the Manufacturing Location level that can be over-ridden at the Article level.
