Duplicate Person Merge

Overview

• Review an individual and see if there are potential duplicates that should be merged
• Merge two records you believe are duplicates
• Review a report across the entire database of potential duplicates
  How to use Duplicate Person Merge

  System Suggested Duplicates

1. Go to Global Duplicates Tab
2. Select Match method
3. Use Find Duplicates button to find all possible duplicates
4. Double click to select a record - it will populate to the form with the "Merge To" record
5. Click on Merge Tab - double click on possible duplicate in list (the "Merge From" record)
6. Will populate the Differences Form
7. Review the Current Value fields (as these will be the retained fields) use arrow under exclamation mark to copy from old value to current value
8. Once ready - navigate to Merge Tab
9. Right click on the record
   • Merge from this person - to have this record disappear into the merge
   • Merge or Inherit Profile from this person - will inherit any Simple Profile Type from this person as well
   • Person Properties takes you to the Person to review
   • Swap with Primary will enable this to become the "Merge To" rather than the "Merge From" This will complete the merge 

Manual Suggested Duplicates

1. Search for a person - note Advanced search enables searching across: Searchcode, Fname, LName, Email, Company, Street, Phone Number
2. Enter code for duplicate in Manually found duplicate not working
3. Continue as above

   General Tab

• Shows all information as found in Person and can search for and find a particular person in this screen.

  Merge Tab

  If an individual has been placed into the General Tab then possible duplicates will be shown based on the fields shown in the list.
• Enter a code from a manually found duplicate not working
• Double click on a suspected duplicate will populate the differences into the Differences Tab

  Differences Tab

  Shows differences across the different fields once two records are being compared in columns
• Field - field being compared
• Old Value - from the "Merge from" record
• Current Value - from the "Merge to" record Select the differences to be changed by
  • clicking on RHS under ! to populate from old to current
  • Typing directly into the Current fields

    Global Duplicates

    will create a list of possible duplicates - double click on a record to populate the form
