Manufacturing locations are where batches are performed
Each Location becomes available to view separately on the Manufacturing Dashboard
Manufacturing locations
- Are defined with work times - start and finish times.
- This affects the time batches are scheduled on the Manufacturing Dashboard
- Have default employees - actual employees are tracked on batch information and QA Tests
- Have a production rate factor that compares the speed in this room with other rooms
- Has an overhead cost recovery rate that is used in finished product cost
- Has a special type that is used to determine the products that can be manufactured (e.g. labeller)
- Has multiple cleans defined - example "Simple clean", "light to dark colour", "Full clean" etc
- Each clean has an estimated time for planning purposes to estimate the time required in the Manufacturing Dashboard
- Each clean is linked to a QA Test Groups of tests that will be tracked during the clean
Extenal Manufacturing locations
- Use purchase orders plus BOM ingredients for product costing.
- Use Supplier lead times and expected durations at the Manufacturing Location level that can be over-ridden at the Article level.
