Overview

When you rent out warehouse space to other organisations and need to receive their stock and pick their stock to send to them or directly to their customers

You do not own the stock

The system manages this stock the same as other stock - except it has zero value to your business

The Supplier and the customer are normally the same company (the company that owns the stock)

Orders may be sent out to any other person - however no invoice will normally be required for the end customer from your business.

Stocking the warehouse

Stock can be created using stock adjustments

Using a purchase order to create stock allows tracking of batches, sizes, expiry dates etc more easily.  The value of the stock will be zero.

Can manually create a po as normal.

Quickly create the Purchase order by uploading XLS

This example is using a company that imports Slacklines that does not have their own warehouse.

Once the xls has been loaded to the server...

Move the PO status to Confirmed Status

Then receipt the stock and put it away in the warehouse

If the stock has been recently in the warehouse then propose putaways will indicate bays recently used

Stock is now in the location

Giving the 3PL Stock Owner a view of the stock levels

The company will be both a supplier and a customer

A supplier can see stock levels of the products they supply only

On the supplier - give a contact the role "Supplier" and ensure the supplier is ticked as allow login

They can now login to the WPF screens (they will need to download the WPF browser and enter the correct client code)

They have access to the finder screen (a cut down version with visibility limited to them as a supplier)

They can view stock levels
