Linked Manufacturing Batches

Linked Manufacturing Batches are typically used to create labels on a machine prior to (or during) production.

There are 2 types of labelling

  1. Label printed on a label printer and stuck on a bag - no linked job but a QA check
  2. printing directly on the bag - - these will have a BOM with no labels - only bags - and when reach Plan status should prompt to auto-create a linked label job.
  3. Linked bag printing job on a labeller is an option when a production job has a bag but no label issued to it.

All generated journals and stock are included under parent job number for costing purposes.

A linked manufacturing Batch

  1. Is created automatically when the parent job is released for production
  2. Has a reference to the parent batch
  3. Shows the relevant journals (including wastage) even though they are actually coded to the parent batch
  4. Has a picking process to pick any materials required
  5. Can be routed on particular machines.
