Services are similar to Articles except they are not stockable. Services are able to be purchased and sold.

Service Special types

Special types are used by the system.  Refer to the help for your industry for details.

For Jobs with services that link to Calendar Tasks

• Commissioning

• Installation

• Fabrication (also triggers a Fabrication order on a supplier)

• Delivery

For Charges 

• Fee/Surcharge - eg % markup for out of hours or a $ per piece charge

• Insurance

For Tickets

• Vouchers - for later redemption

• Tickets

• Hire/Lease - for agreements with customers normally

• Fare - a Base fare that other charges can be added to

Tours

• Accommodation

• Meals

Sell Price Mode

Used by the special types - this indicates the preference used by the system to calculate the sell price.

1. If a special type has "Greater of $/%" then the system will

   1. Evaulate the % calculation for the special type (eg % of overall order)

   2. Compare the $ value calculated to the $ setting

   3. Choose the larger value

   4. This allows a minimum charge for a service that lifts as the related item lifts in value

• Quantity discounts enables a new sales price to be applied once a particular quantity has been placed onto an order line

• Price by Price list on RHS enables differential pricing depending on the price list used
